The Image Line PoiZone 2.1 is a high quality subtractive software synthesizer that was created to be easy in its use so that everyone can have fun with it. The reason that the PoiZone program is simple to use is that it contains only the controls that are necessary. The controls that had no real purpose were taken out so that now everything has a purpose and it is easier to keep an overview of what is there.
The user interface is also set up in a way that all users will like. It is not only nice to look at, but it does not have too many things to keep control over. Every one of the knobs is also labeled so there is no mistaking what it is for.
Of course the PoiZone program also has many great features. There are two oscillators which are capable of generating the two most popular shapes, saw and pulse, for subtractive synthesis. The pulse width can be adjusted by the user.
The PoiZone program also has a noise generator, ring modulation, sync modulation and three filter modes. Besides that, a sixteen voice polyphony, four voice unison and two ADSR envelope generators are all included. |
